Professional Web Development – Beginning
Start Date: 9/27/10, at 7pm, online.
About the online course:
This entirely original 10-Week class, with 3 hours per class, teaches students step by step how to design and develop websites from start to finish using the latest design and development tools. It is taught online through www.overtheweb.org. Students engage in a live online learning environment and are able to ask questions, receive answers as the class is taught, and receive artwork used with real clients. Classes are recorded for students to watch as often as needed, which could never be done in a classroom setting. Each student is provided their own web space to build their projects. You can view sample recordings from actual classes at www.overtheweb.org by logging in as a guest with the login “guest” and password “guest”. Some design tools used will be: Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, and other development tools. No tools are required for the class, however, we recommend downloading at least the evaluation version of Adobe Dreamweaver, as several segments of the course use it. Current projects are discussed and dissected. This teaches students with real world clients. Some of the project files will even be provided for students to download and analyze.
